Problem Statement

With millions of people all over the world struggling to find enough food to eat, it can be surprising that millions of tons of food are being thrown out every year. Food waste is a major problem in developed countries and is a serious economic and environmental issue. However, this problem is not isolated in the United States. The issue of food waste is of vital importance in the fight against hunger, raising incomes, and improving food security in the developing world.

Consumers should be made aware of the level of food wastage and its consequences. With all the energy needed for food production, our time is worth making sure that the food we produce is not wasted.

The issue of Food Waste has been increasing on a household level. Thus, it has become important to stop food waste. For this, we thought of developing an application.

An application that we can use to track and store our grocery shopping details.

We can use the technologies available on the phone that can support the app to store all the data in the application to reduce wastage of food.

The following things were considered to make the application:

Quantity of Food   -   Expiration date  -   Leftover products
